Certification Item

Although SD as a “field” of knowledge and application is healthy as seen from the “inside” it has no external profile or credibility outside of a small circle of devotees.

A subtle corollary to this is the author’s observation that SD seems to attract almost entirely one personality type: process driven & introverted. The challenge for continued sustainable growth is to find ways to change the external perception of SD, while maintaining it’s current internal state, and attracting other kinds of people – specifically the people-driven, extrovert. This latter group, is by the way, probably the majority of managers how are potential users of our methodology.

A possible way to achieve these goals is to:

  1. Certify individuals and/or
  2. Accredit Institutions teaching SD
