Abstract for: Modelling Sustainable and Equitable Mobility Transitions in Austria
Climate crisis calls for changes in transport system. Decarbonisation policies must be couples with social equity to ensure social inclusion for everyone. This is often overlooked in sustainability measures in transport sector. Stock & flow models that represent personas of disadvantaged groups, based on CLDs generated from qualitative interviews. With scenarios based on different justice frameworks the model(s) shows how personas' perceived accessibility and capabilities change over time. By integrating environmental and justice principles with a system dynamics approach, this research seeks to contribute to the development of actionable strategies for policymakers and stakeholders to achieve a sustainable and equitable mobility transition by 2050. The discussion will include various policies and justice frameworks and the effect these have on disadvantaged personas living in cities and rural areas; also a roadmap of suggestions for equitable and sustainable mobility policies. for language improvements
