Abstract for: Low-carbon behavior changes: Exploring food system scenarios with FeliXSim
This interactive workshop will introduce the FeliXSim, and interactive simulation environment developed as an interface to the FeliX model, a global model of climate, economy, environment and society interactions. FeliXSim is designed to enable users to explore and experiment with long-term global dynamics of behavior changes in the food system in an accessible, visual, and engaging way, without requiring prior modeling expertise. The session will demonstrate core features of FeliXSim, including how to navigate the underlying model structure, run scenarios and compare them, and interpret model outputs to understand feedback dynamics and long-term trends. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, yet anyone without one will be welcomed to participate in the facilitated exercises. No prior experience with simulation software or system dynamics is required.
