Abstract for: Presenting Uncertainty with Stella
Creating interfaces that let people explore both scenarios and uncertainty at the same time is challenging. In this workshop, we will present several techniques that allow the creation of interfaces in which the user can explore scenarios while not losing site of the uncertainty they contain. The workshop will show how predefined Sobol sequences can be mapped to controllable uncertainty ranges and the results presented using box and whisker graphs and comparative sensitivity plots. Participants will need their own computers, either Macintosh or Windows. A link for installing the software will be available on the conference website as well as during the workshop.
