Abstract for: Useful Macroeconomics A Call for Reviewers

At last year's conference, my paper was about the 'Lite' version of MacroLab, designed to be a simple introduction to macroeconomic modeling with system dynamics methods. Coincidentally, a publisher contacted me a few months after the conference and we are now working on a textbook called Useful Macroeconomics, and MacroLab Lite is the featured model. We hope it will be a useful introduction to the study of macroeconomics. This paper summarizes the basic approach in the book and invites conference participants to review and comment on the final draft. The first edition of the book was published after the conference. The second edition (with 4 additional chapters) will be released in January 2025. Contact the author for more information.
