Abstract for: Latam Coalition for Climate Education based on Interactive Simulators-How might we leverage Latam En ROADS Climate Ambassadors?
Spanish speaking En ROADS Climate Ambassadors (ECAs) in Latam are loosely connected or are disconnected. Creating a connection between ECAs in order to address common issues, and obtaining synergy might be a high impact intervention fostering Climate Actions and Climate Awareness, because contacting a politician, media, university or a company in representation of a community of professionals might have higher leverage. Latin American countries and other developing countries in Africa and Asia might create in the coming decades the highest amount of GHG emissions, according to the C ROADS World Climate simulator data by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan Sust. Initiative. Adding branding from affiliated Latam universities, ONGs like SDS, Climate Interactive, Climate Reality using simulators created by Climate Interactive and the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative might create high leverage in order to finance climate actions and climate change awareness in Latam. This inistiative might help reduce GHG and future global climate change.
