Abstract for: Hypertension Management Simulator
The development of a cardiovascular risk intervention simulator, with an initial focus on hypertension and interventions in São Paulo, Brazil, represents a significant advancement in public health planning. This project prioritizes the identification of local authorities' requirements and capabilities to effectively utilize the simulator, ensuring its practical application in real-world scenarios. Through a collaborative approach, participatory model building with local partners was employed to align the simulator's objectives with regional health priorities. Data collection was undertaken for the purpose of calibration and validation, to strengthen the model confidence. Additionally, considerable effort was dedicated to designing a user-friendly interface, thereby facilitating its adoption by decision-makers. This initiative demonstrates an integration of technology and participatory methodologies to enhance cardiovascular risk management and intervention strategies in São Paulo.
