Abstract for: System Archetypes of Policy Feedback in Climate Politics

In the midst of climate change, a restructuring of economic activities away from fossil fuels is necessary. This study explores interdisciplinary approaches for analyzing climate policies of the sustainability transition. However, public support for such policies, like carbon pricing, remains uncertain, intertwined with trust in politics. Employing Policy Feedback Theory (PFT), the study scrutinizes the socio-political dynamics shaping climate policy outcomes. Methodologically, it employs system archetypes and a semi-systematic literature review to analyse climate policy feedback. The study contributes by offering insights into PFT application in climate policy and proposes modified system archetypes for model development, aiming to integrate PFT into macroeconomic frameworks for analyzing sustainability transitions.
