Abstract for: Forecasting the net zero transition: How to reach thousand company digital financial twins!

Asset managers cannot trust that companies will meet their net zero targets as such targets will compete with companies' short-term profitability, where profitability wins. Emissions forecasts of 50 companies are compared, and few meet net zero goals. However, it is also shown that for most companies, forcing them to meet emission targets by forfeiting short-term profits would earn them more profits in the longer run. Methods for extending coverage to one thousand companies are discussed, and benefits for clients enumerated
