Abstract for: The Importance of Utilizing AI in the Transformation and Reformation of Iran's Banking Industry: A SD Approach

In this study, the use of artificial intelligence in Iran's banking sector will be examined. The presence of 36 banks in Iran poses a fundamental issue, as Iran's banking sector accounts for approximately 5.2% of the country's gross domestic product. Due to the bank-oriented nature of Iran's economy, studying the impact of technology on Iran's banking ecosystem, especially concerning the number of employees, is crucial for cost reduction, enhanced transparency, and improved efficiency. Discovering internal and external fraud in the banking industry and combating money laundering are crucial aspects of transparency for the country's stakeholders and monetary policymakers. The adoption of artificial intelligence in the banking industry is an inevitable reality. The country is currently facing the challenges of integrating artificial intelligence with traditional infrastructures and hardware on one hand, and the challenge of accommodating all existing banks in the banking industry on the other hand. Several factors influence the adoption of artificial intelligence, including the three-dimensional model of organizational readiness, industry nature, and macro environment, which will be examined in this ongoing study. First, the industry strategy and model parameters will be extracted using the SWOT table. Then, the dynamic pattern of the model will be simulated using the system dynamics approach.
