Abstract for: PROTECT – Centre for Preparedness and Crisis Management
In response to an increased demand for more realistic and cost-effective training of crisis management, the Inland Norway University of Applied Science (INN) will in 2024 establish the Centre for Preparedness and Crisis Management (PROTECT) in new facilities co-located with INN’s Campus at Rena. This brand-new lab for crisis management training and exercises will be utilized as arena for scientific experiments – testing hypotheses of learning effectiveness on a simulation-based training platform. Foremost, scenarios of regional consequences of global climate change will be used for training, as well as other scenarios related to societal safety and security.
