Abstract for: Long-term Effects of Bioeconomy Adoption on Biodiversity Conservation

Understanding the potential of the bioeconomy and the process of innovation diffusion are increasingly concerning to companies due to the associated risks involved for both people and biodiversity. This work in progress aims to examine What are the long-term effects of bioeconomy adoption on biodiversity conservation? The research proceeds to model the long-term consequences of bioeconomy market demand and biodiversity inventories. Employing an innovation adoption model facilitates understanding the complex causalities, thereby contributing to the evaluation of biodiversity-associated risks and informing decision-making for cross-sector programs on climate and the environment.
