Abstract for: Valuing Innovations in Aquaculture - Cure4Aqua Horizion Europe Research Update
Aquaculture is facing unprecedented disruptions from Climate Change, Invasive Species and Antibiotic Resistance. The Cure4Aqua research programme funded by the EU and UKRI is a consortium of 32 partners representing leading Aquaculture Research Institutions across Europe and elsewhere. Innovations under development include Vaccines, Phage Therapy, Biosecurity, Genomics, Monitoring and Welfare aimed at improvements in Business Sustainability and simultaneously addressing One-Health objectives. The Presentation will be a live demonstration of how the digital twin is used to estimate the contrasting Value of a Vaccine now in development in a High Performing and Low Performing Farm. This will be followed by a discussion of how the modelling is influencing the innovation process within Cure4Auqa and how the digital twin is being integrated with legacy systems to improve operating and welfare performance in a Greek Sea Bass farm.
