Abstract for: Evaluating the Feedback Thinking Level of Pre-Service Science Teachers through Scenarios
Systems thinking is the ability to see complex systems and the interconnectedness of variables in these systems. Science teachers should have systems thinking skills in order to raise future generations who are systems thinkers. There are very few studies conducted with pre-service teachers in the area of systems thinking in the context of science education. This study aimed to investigate the level of feedback thinking, which is one of the systems thinking skills of pre-service science teachers. In this study, online interviews were conducted via online with ten senior pre-service science teachers enrolled in undergraduate science education programs at one of the top research universities in the country where the research was conducted. The S-BI protocol, revised by the researcher, was used in the interviews. Participants' level of feedback thinking is evaluated using the revised S-BI protocol scoring rubric.
