Abstract for: Causal loop modelling of the impact of climate change on health in low-income countries
We focus on ‘Last Mile’ populations who are “not only the poorest of the poor, but also the people that are under-served and excluded, where development needs are greatest, and where resources are most scarce” These populations in particular will be impacted by climate change, especially in rural Africa, with greater loss of healthy life years than in wealthier European countries, with risks to food security and increased malnutrition. We are employing a mixed methods for our research with the use of causal loop modelling and cross-check the results of this workshop with surveys with residents and focus groups with community champions to identify similarities and differences between the different groups.
