Abstract for: Find the Achilles Heel: A card game that finds a company's weakness and shows how to improve its business
The study, titled "Find the Achilles Heel," focuses on understanding the causes of profit loss in business. The study's subject is using a board game to collect data for a system dynamics model. The study is based on the gamification of research methods using Flip-and-Write game mechanics. At the beginning of each round, players select and flip a card. They record the result in their game plan. The collected data are used in a system dynamics model. The problem of declining profits is addressed by simulating the evolution of a start-up company over six years. The game's goal is to show the impact of identifying business weaknesses. The player then understands which areas he has the greatest potential to improve his business. The contribution of the work is the innovative approach to data collection for system dynamics models. This gamified form of research is easy to understand and fun for players. The winner is the player with the highest potential to improve the company's profits.
