Abstract for: Participatory system dynamics mapping – when and how? A case from Belmont Forum Manila Bay workshop

This work in progress paper presents a system dynamics based causal loop diagram that maps links and feedback loops among social economic components in the Metro Manila region that have impact in the pollution of the Manila Bay. The diagram was collaboratively developed by twenty people from academia, government, and NGOs who participated in a half-day group model building session, which was part of five days workshop entitled “First Belmont Forum Global COAST Card Project Meeting and Workshop” held in Manila, the Philippines from 27 Feb to 3 March 2023. The work in progress paper describes the causal loop diagram development process, content of the diagram, and steps for building on the group model building session.
