Abstract for: A Complexity-Aware Monitoring Guideline for Environmental Health Interventions

Monitoring, by its very nature of updating actors’ perceptions about changing systems, has been touted as an important feedback mechanism. However, in complex interventions such as those relating to environmental health in low- and middle-income countries, there is little practical guidance for realizing the full potential of monitoring to advance learning and improve intervention designs. Our work aims to fill this gap by demonstrating a novel application of system dynamics modeling.
