Abstract for: Climate change risks, adaptation and mitigation: A qualitative model of the interdependencies and responses
The various risks imposed by climate change (e.g., due to heat waves, floods and droughts), the adaptation responses and measures addressing them, and, most importantly, the mitigation measures to reach agreed emission reductions, influence each other, through a multitude of cross-sectoral dependencies. This WIP contribution addresses the construction of a qualitative model capturing these dependencies as a first step towards an integrated modelling framework, supported by several detailed domain models of climate, impact assessment and economic sectors, facilitating quantitative assessments of mitigation and adaptation pathways.
