Abstract for: A Theoretical and Practical experience of the implementation of transversal approach in the City of Cape Town

This presentation outlines the theoretical and practical experience of the implementation of the transversal approach which is embedded in system dynamics and thinking with reference to a City of Cape Town case study. The transversal approach is interwoven with system dynamics and thinking which enables the practitioners to see the holistic picture in tackling common problems and requires collaboration and innovation. The relevance of the transversal approach in developing organisations presents and opportune time to benchmark on the best practices of others with the sole purpose of bringing the appropriate intervention to address community needs.
