Abstract for: Challenges to Scale-up Migration-related Humanitarian Operations
The number of immigrants has increased in the past years due to political, economic, and social instability, climate, and human-related disasters. This growth in migrations has attracted the attention of academics interested in social-impact oriented research. Considering the unprecedented impacts on migrant-receiving countries worldwide, we analyze the Brazilian Government Operation to receive Venezuelan immigrants. We mapped the operations processes, developed a causal loop diagram enhancing the causal effects across operation scalability factors, developed an SD simulation model. We are currently simulating and analyzing the results of scalability-related policies.
