Abstract for: Rethinking the business model concept in the anthropocene era: proposal for a systemic approach to the business model

This paper presents the state of progress of my thesis that I am conducting with PSL Paris-Dauphine University and the company I work for: Biocoop, a network of specialized organic food shops. My project consists in proposing a new description and visual representation of the business model concept, and a methodology to accompany stakeholders to think the business model with a systemic approach. We believe that this way of thinking to apprehend how companies do business can allow business leaders and entrepreneurs to act differently, particularly to face anthropogenic problems. To do so, we have accompanied a first shop through action research, with systemic design-oriented workshops.
