Abstract for: System Dynamics Review and publications 1985–2021

This presentation systematically reviews published scientific articles published in System Dynamics Review and other related academic journals between 1985 and 2021. In addition, the study performs a network analysis of the System Dynamics articles and their influence in the System Dynamics Society. This review serves as a guide, offering information on the most cited content, topics of interest, sources, and authors. This information is valuable, especially for new SD researchers who are still trying to understand the nuances of the field. System Dynamics modeling research proves to be highly influential in enhancing dynamic decision-making from an endogenous perspective in several disciplines, such as management, engineering, environmental science, education, health, and urban studies.
