Abstract for: Using simulations as test beds for social science research methods through DARPA’s Ground Truth Program

This talk will describe the ambitious goals of DARPA's Ground Truth program as a way to begin a discussion about the opportunities - and challenges - of using simulations as "wind tunnels" to enable testing and validation of modeling and research tools and approaches for understanding complex social systems in the "Human Domain."
