Abstract for: Building applications or flight simulators in Powersim Studio

This workshop is an introduction to building system dynamics model interfaces, i.e., applications or flight simulators using Powersim Studio. The workshop is intended for people who have gone beyond academic or research modeling with system dynamics and are producing applications for use over time for many users. We will look at the interface tools that come with Studio and the novel and creative ways they can be used to construct sophisticated user interfaces. Examples include time and static graphs, bar charts, gauges, sliders, navigation, events, graphic objects, etc. and combining tools. A sample model (runs in free and commercial versions) will be provided, so no skill with Studio is required but this is recommended for Studio users. The session will be conducted as a hands-on workshop and will demonstrate basic interface techniques: layout, color, etc.
