Abstract for: Case Study of the Energy Consumption and carbon Emissions in Lucknow City based on systemic Dynamic Approach

ABSTRACT Urban transportation plays an essential role low carbon energy conservation and emission reduction within the transport sector. Urban low carbon transportation system is a dynamic complex system along with various socio-economic characteristics and vehicular characteristics, vehicular infrastructure and other factors. This paper analyzes the complex dynamics relationship through building a metropolitan low-carbon transport system. Considering Lucknow city, a capital of Uttar Pradesh in India as a case study to simulate the low carbon urban region, and the result suggests rapid increase of private automobiles is an important motorist factor of carbon emissions. Therefore, it is important to strengthen metropolitan transport demand management and enhance the urban transport structure in building urban low carbon transportation. Key words: Dynamic complex system, carbon emissions, low carbon transportation
