Abstract for:Adoption of Renewable Energy Technology in the Hotel Sector, Queensland Australia: A Push and Pull of The Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme
This work-in progress paper describes the stock and flow diagram of the impact of the small-scale renewable energy scheme (SRES) on the renewable energy technology (RET) adoption in the hotel sector in Queensland, Australia. So far, SRES has only slightly influenced the hotel sector to adopt RET. As SRES will end in 2030, this work-in progress model attempts to test the RET adoption market among the hotel sector regarding the implementation and removal of SRES. The early model behaviour indicates the hotels would continue to adopt RET despite the SRES ceases to continue. This model is subject to validation.
