Abstract for:Modeling and Simulation of Human Behavior in Emergencies: Determination of the Effect of Mitigation Policies in the Colombian Legal Framework.
In emergency events, it is difficult to determine the possible reaction of people. The Colombian laws are clear when demanding safety regulations in work environments since they allow to safeguard the welfare of the worker. In the service centers, which are the point of contact between the organization with customers and users, generally have significant numbers of people working in these spaces, so it is important to determine the behavior of people in the event of an emergency. On the other hand, it has been determined that panic has the characteristics of a rumor when it is transmitted from one person to another, which allows to measure some important characteristics such as the speed of spreading. At the same time it must be said that in evacuation events the physical and psychological factors of each one influence the performance of said events, and it has been observed that situations of cooperation and competition can be generated depending on the characteristics of the emergency as it is the magnitude of these. What is intended with this work is to determine if the number of people who know of an emergency rumor in an initial moment, affect the propagation of this rumor.
