Abstract for:Roadmap for the formulation of space politics of a developing country using system dynamics
The use of satellite technology has proven to be of great importance for the development of countries. The space sector is mainly divided into space manufacturing, which includes satellites and launch services; services from satellite operators and consumer services. Currently, Colombia has no share in any of these segments, missing the opportunity to exploit a source of economic growth and innovation that in the last decade has doubled its revenues worldwide. The role of governments has been fundamental as an initial source of funding for the acquisition of infrastructure, as well as to promote the R & D & I worldwide. This work is motivated by Colombia's need to create a regulatory framework that provides governability and governance to the sector, as well as the urgency to establish a roadmap that guides the actions of the country's incipient actors.
