Abstract for:Modeling neodymium material flows in Germany with the purpose of establishing a recycling chain

This paper has a look at the recycling potential of neodymium in Germany. The amount of neodymium in different products is calculated and connected with end-of-use assumptions. One aim of the research is to assess under which conditions a market for recycled neodymium could be established. The System Dynamics model of neodymium material flows presented in this paper builds the basis for answering this question. Simulation results for different technological scenarios are presented and discussed.
