Abstract for:Tackling Grand Challenges with Multi-Scale System Dynamics Modelling and Simulation

In this paper, we present and discuss multi-scale System Dynamics modelling, and introduce the techniques and tools for System Dynamicists to make and use such multi-scale system dynamics models. The multi-scale System Dynamics modelling method presented here have recently and are currently being used in 22 projects. Topics range from (root causes of) migration, over population health and health systems, to worldwide energy transitions. Some of these projects are discussed here to illustrate the usefulness of this approach.
