Abstract for:Lessons learned in modeling processes within research projects
System dynamics has been used in a significant amount of research projects. There is a consolidated set of recommendations about how to develop high quality models, and a about how to conduct efficient modeling processes. Anyway, there is still some room to improve these processes if modelers pay special attention to the social aspects of the modeling process. In the case of research project the contribution from participants is very dependent on their commitment, so social aspects are even more relevant. This paper presents several modeling processes conducted within research projects lead by the same research group. Analyzing these projects we extract some lessons learned that could be helpful in the implementation of other analogous projects.
