It is just over a year that the System Dynamics Africa Chapter was formed. The young chapter’s current membership is up to 40 with 17 members registered with the International System Dynamics Society. Membership comprises of any persons with in interest in Africa System Dynamics research and scholarship for sustainable development. The ‪‎Chapter held its 1st International Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya January 2015. Participants benefitted from an international perspective and meaningful insights of leading SD experts and fellow delegates from the region and the rest of the world. At its 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held during the workshop, members proposed the development of an Africa Regional Masters/PhD Programme in Systems Science that could be used as a vehicle to build capacity and to develop System Dynamics research in Africa. The 2nd International Africa Chapter Workshop is scheduled to be held in Nairobi, Kenya January 2016.
