Pakistan Chapter is a small community comprising 15 members. It was founded in 2005 and since then it has been working to promote SD thinking and practice among the students, practitioners and the academia. An SD course was started at University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, which had an enrolment of 20 students. Basics of System Dynamics methodology and simulation modeling were introduced to the students through the SD course. A meeting with the faculty was arranged with Dr. Khalid Saeed as he was visiting Pakistan. The purpose of the meeting was to 1) introduce concepts and applications of the System Dynamics; and 2) invite more faculty and academia to contribute to the development of a community of system dynamics researches and practitioners. Two papers were contributed in International conferences last year, one in Pakistan and the other in Dubai. The same is intended this year. In future the Pakistan Chapter looks forward to translate books in Urdu as well as publish some basic books to introduce system dynamics to students as well as the public. The publication will include contributions from Pak members of the System Dynamics international community. We also intend to develop website for System Dynamics.
