Jay Forrester, who created the field of system dynamics, turned his attention to K-12 education about 18 years ago.  He has put his considerable and positive energy into promoting the use of system dynamics in education for students aged 5 through 18. He mentored the System Dynamics in Education Project at MIT 
for 13 years, developing Road Maps, a self-guided study program originally designed to help teachers learn system dynamics. He has been active as Trustee of the Creative Learning Exchange, encouraging the writing of curriculum through the Gordon Brown Fund and staying involved with teachers through 
workshops and conferences. This session is intended to honor Jay, his support for and his commitment to the K-12 students and teachers.
