Andersen, David   VP Finance Report Part I of III - What happened in 2016   (This is the first of three parts to the VP Finance Report for 2017. The first part describes what happened in 2016. This second report, focusing on budgets for 2018 and 2019, has two parts: (A) a narrative description of how we plan to budget for the transition from UAlbany to our new home, and (B) a discussion of how designated assets will work to get us through this transition and into the future. The third part describes the recent creation of a new Legacy Fund.) Report

Andersen, David   Community Service Award Sub-Committee Report   (The Community Service Award Committee was formed in 2009 to designate award winners as appropriate for awards for exceptional service. The Committee is charged with determining which awards, regular or special, are appropriate for community service, and determining who should receive them. These awards will not involve any money. In some years an award is not presented. Eberlein, Robert   Recommendations for the Conference Submission and Review Process   (These are the recommendation of the SPOC - in a nutshell make it easier for practitioners to submit work and rather than rejecting lower quality work direct it to an alternative session format. There are also two motions associated with this submission - one to accept it and a second to change the nature of the conference proceedings.) Report

Malczynski, Leonard   Nomination Committee Appointment Information for Shayne Gary (8/2017 - 7/2020)   (According to Policy 6, Policies of the System Dynamics Society, the President shall ensure any vacancies in Standing Committees are filled, subject to Policy Council approval. The term for Sharon Els as an appointed member of the Nominating Committee expired at the end of July 2017. I respectfully make the motion now, to be voted on electronically. I have been in conversations with the other members of the Nominating Committee and we have agreed that Shayne Gary from the University of New South Wales would be an excellent member for the upcoming staggered three-year term of the Nominating Committee for the August 2017 to July 2020 appointment. I also spoke with Shayne and he is prepared and willing to serve. ) Report
