Abstract for: Alcohol Learning Lab

During this activity, the students will develop a model that helps them to understand the speed at which rises or lowers the alochol level in the blood of a person, the time that it takes to recover for driving a car, the way the weight affects during it lasts, the different impact in the gender (male or female), the type of drink, the tolerance level, and the paticipation in consecutive sprees a person could have. The students will also understand what happens with the absorption of the alcohol in the stomach and thru there to the rest of the body through the bloodstream before being eliminated for the liver and the kidneys. They’ll discover the cause-effect cycles that underlay the problem and, how they become a part of the solution.
