The System Dynamics Italian Chapter was born in September 1995 with about 20 members and so has already completed the first decade of its presence in Italy. The main objective of the Chapter is to promote the development of the System Dynamics (SD) and the interchange of learning and research in related fields establishing links with other European SD communities. The most active and productive years for the Chapter were surely during 1999-2002 when the number of SYDIC members considerably increased (more than 70). This happened also because SYDIC together with Palermo and Bocconi (Milan) Universities, in July 2002, prepared and organized the 20th SD Conference which was an important driver. Presently the most “exiting” issue on which SYDIC active members are involved is the realization of the new Web site which has the aim to re-launch the Chapter activities and hence involve all the members in order to heavily and continuously interact and put in common each one experience. The academic activities of SYDIC members in the field of SD are spread out through various Universities (see below) with different courses, all along the “boot” in our beautiful country.
